Ichiro Suzuki at 7-2- Already in possession of a pair of AL batting titles, Ichiro has rebounded from a slow start, for him, when he hit just .287 over the season's first month. The Gold Glove right fielder's .371 and .386 May and June catapulted him into the AL batting title mix, but a .317 July kept him from being even closer than his current .339 average has him. Of these AL batting title contenders, Ichiro has unquestionably the most speed, as his 34 stolen bases will attest. This asset will aid him greatly, as he is annually among the league leaders in infield hits. Seattle is in the AL West playoff picture, and their chances are enhanced if Ichiro gains his third AL batting title. I believe he will fall short of Jeter by a slim margin.

In spite of this, for the first time in history, the Kentucky Derby has decided to exclude female contenders. The change came about as part of the new Kentucky Derby prep season points system. Instead of running in the Kentucky Derby, fillies are encouraged to participate in the Kentucky Oaks on May 3, 2013.

Hometown girl Kaitlyn was set for a one-on-one match with Layla, who had Michelle McCool in her corner as usual. This was back and forth for several minutes before Layla slammed the door on Kaitlyn's offense and picked up the win. After the victory, Layla and McCool put the boots to Kaitlyn and celebrated in the riing. Kaitlyn had to be helped to the back by WWE officials.
Baseball, trying to remain the purists' sport, is getting calls incorrect and costing teams' games. Earlier this year, a perfect game was missed due to an erroneous call at first base. Baseball has the technology to use instant replay to review calls, but fails to do so citing the purity of the sport. When the New York Yankees are on the receiving end of one of these calls, look for baseball to take an about face on this issue. The only other "sport" that steadfastly refuses to use instant replay to ensure accuracy is professional wrestling, and that's not the company a dying sport wants to be in.
The contestants were wrestling on a bus and taken to the house. The three trainers, Trish Stratus, Booker T and Bill Demott (Hugh Morris) met them on the stairs of the house. They introduced themselves and told the contestants to get inside and get changed into training clothes.
